4Runner encourages you to take on the toughest trails. Up to 9.6 inches of ground clearance, an approach angle of 33 degrees, and a departure angle of 26 degrees on 4Runner TRD Off Road help keep the adventure going.
MULTI-TERRAIN SELECT
Available Multi-Terrain Select allows you to choose from four modes that will regulate wheel spin by adjusting the engine throttle setting and braking pressure to provide you with maximum traction in various off road situations.
CRAWL CONTROL
The available Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) and Crawl Control are meant to help keep optimal traction, even on uneven terrain. KDSS automatically adjusted the suspension system for better wheel articulation, while Crawl Control automatically modulates the throttle and brake on five low-speed settings.
